2010 AIPP Western Australian Wedding Album of the Year Award

And the winner is...ROGER CLARK!

I know this blog has been quiet for the past few months while we've been busy riding motorbikes around WA for charity, redesigning our studio space, juggling kids on school holidays and grieving for a beautiful family member who sadly passed away...but what a way to kickstart it again!

This year is the first time a wedding album category has been included in the WAPPAs (Western Australain Professional Photographer of the Year Awards) and we are so thrilled that Roger was able to win the award for the Best Wedding Album of the Year.

Verbal comments to Roger by one of the interstate judges were that his album stood out because the bride and groom seemed genuinely happy and appeared to be relaxed and have a great rapport with the photographer. She also said that by the end of the album the judges felt as though they knew the couple. These comments mean a great deal to us because when we photograph weddings we aim to make each one different - to tell the story of that couple and their day...not "just another wedding". It's nice to know that this comes through in the images we make.

Our clients always tell us they love our albums and we've always known we create great albums - to have 5 interstate judges choose Roger's album as the best just confirms it!

The other exciting part of this year's WAPPAs was that Roger and I both received distinctions for our individual prints - Roger for his Portrait entry, and me for my Portrait and Wedding entries. The exhibition of all WAPPA entries can be viewed in the Lobby of the QV1 Building (250 St Georges Tce Perth). It runs until Friday 10 September. Or if you just want to see the category winners go to the AIPP website here.
Enjoy!
